This half term we will continue our central focus on Space that will impact on all the subjects as much as possible. In literacy we will be looking at the main character in the story, learning how to form questions, describing Beegu’s feelings using adjectives and retelling the events of the story using freeze frames. In History we will be learning all about the Stone Age, and in particular the use of a timeline and cave drawings from this period. In Geography we will learning about the United Kingdom, its countries and their capital cities. As part of our Art and DT we will be using shoeboxes and learning about ‘moving parts’ in recreating a scene from Beegu. In Music we will be practising Christmas songs as part of the KS1 production. In ICT we will be looking at algorithms and instructions for different devices.
