A Boy and A Bear in a Boat

This term we will be learning all about London. We will be developing our Literacy skills by writing character profiles which will help us to understand the characters’ intentions in the book. We will be developing our writing skills by learning about journalistic writing and the children will write their own newspaper report. We will also be exploring descriptive writing, which will lead us in to writing powerful poetry based on the events that occurred during The London Eye Mystery.

This half term in Geography we will be learning about the geographical location of London and the famous landmarks the city has to offer. Students will learn mapping skills, such as finding and reading coordinates on a map and recognising different symbols and their meanings.
