This term we have provided the children with a variety of different sports opportunities.

Boys Football (Year 5/6)

This term the boys have been working very hard and have been training each Tuesday after school. This training has paid dividends as they have now reached the quarter final of the Kevin McCarthy cup. Keep up the good work boys!

Girls Football (Year 5/6)

This term the girls have been working very hard and have been training each Tuesday after school. The girls team is newly formed but already they are enjoying playing together. The girls are looking forward to some friendly matches to be arranged in Autumn 2

Unihoc Festival

This term a slection of boys and girls attended a hockey festival at Hurstmere secondary school and the purpose of this event was to encourage children to play a modified form of hockey in a relaxed and fun environment. The festival was a great success and several children felt they would like to know more about hockey. The hockey coaches which were there spoke to the children about local hockey teams.

Certificates were awarded at the end of the festival for those teams who showed great team work. Fosters were awarded:

The Determination Award & The Self Belief Award

Girls Rugby Festival

Girls which were interested in Rugby attended a friendly Rugby festival at Dartfordians RFU. The festival was a great success and the girls came away with a bit more knowledge on the game and with a positive attitude for trying something new! Well done girls!
