Scott Wilkins

Chair of Governors/Fundation Governor

Current term of office ends: 13/04/2024

 

Scott has been a governor since January 2016. He is a Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years industry experience working in the UK and abroad prior to entering the Education sector in 2006. Scott works for the City & Guilds Group, where he leads their global Engineering & Manufacturing provision and works across the industry, government and education in defining the future strategic direction for the business.

Scott lives in Bexleyheath and is married with 3 children who also attend a local primary school and secondary.

 

Victoria Thompson

Vice Chair/Parent Governor

Current term of office ends:27/01/2025

 

Victoria has been a Governor at Foster's since January 2017. She is a qualified Accountant working for the Police.

“I am passionate about achieving the best possible schooling experience for all children, to give them the best foundation for a happy life, and support the community in the future.”

Ken Scottow

Foundation Governor

Areas of responsibility: Chair of Foundation Governors 

Current term of office ends: 06/09/2025

 

Ken has been a Foundation Governor for over 30 years as well as on the LA Governing Body. He has 2 sons and 3 grand-daughters. He is retired having worked in the Insurance industry for over 35 years. Ken has joined the Year 6 children on their school journeys over many years and more recently the Year 4 children on theirs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jason Hemley

Headteacher

Current term of office ends: 31/08/2025

 

Jason has been a staff Governor since September 2014. He has been a teacher at Foster's since 2008 and a Deputy Head since September 2017 when he moved on to be a Co-opted Governor. He now has taken the role of Headteacher and is the leader of Teaching and Learning and Assessment,  “We have a wonderful ethos here at Foster’s where every child is valued as a unique individual, and we want them to enjoy every single minute of their time with us. I enjoy contributing to a school that aims to provide a safe, happy and exciting environment in which all children can thrive”.

 

Matthew Barrett 
Local Authority Governor 
Current term of office ends: 05/05/2025 
 
Matt has been a Local Authority governor at Foster’s Primary since March 2021.  He has worked as the School Business Manager at another Bexley school since 2015 and was recently appointed as the Operations Director at an outstanding secondary school in Kent.  He has achieved the Diploma for School Business Leaders.  Matt has received DSL training and has been a member of his school’s Safeguarding Team.  He is the link Governor for Safeguarding and Child Protection.

Anna-Louise Boorer

Co-Opted Governor

Current term of office ends: 27/01/2025

 

Anna-Louise has been a parent governor at Foster's since January 2017 before her appointment as co-opted Governor in November 2021. She is an Assistant Head in an outstanding primary school, has achieved NPQSL and has a Master’s degree in Education Leadership and Management.

“Being a Governor is important to me as I care deeply about education, emotional and social wellbeing of my children and believe that home-school relationship are key.”

Anna-Louise lives in Welling with her partner and 2 young children who attend Foster's Primary school.

 

 

 

Sidhant Mehta

Co-Opted Governor

Current term of office ends: 31/08/2026 

 

Sidhant has been a governor at Foster's Primary School since September 2022.

He is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is responsible for managing CCLA Investment Management’s three deposit and money market funds.

"I believe that quality education is a privilege that every child nationwide should have access to. As a governor, I am committed to supporting Foster's Primary School in their pursuit to fostering a positive and enriching learning environment.”
